How it started
Our founder Varsha Mahendra had a dream of a creatively fulfilling career and wanted to pursue fashion designing. It was an unconventional dream as everyone was doing engineering and medicine, she opted to follow her passion! From little seeds grow mighty trees !! It all started in the 1990s when she was getting married. Like every bride, she carefully handpicked her sarees for trousseau from across regions. Being a handloom enthusiast, she curated a treasure trove of hand-woven sarees. She created beautiful designs for her blouses and lehengas but when she went to a local tailor ( that was the only option then in the 1990s) to get them made, that's when she started to get disappointed. Her designs were not executed well, the fit and the finish were really bad. After this experience, she started empathizing with other brides and that's when she resolved to do something about this. Eureka the idea had germinated in her mind and a few years later she got an opportunity to launch her brand Jus Blouses. Jus Blouses was launched make it super easy for women to get them customized by a professional team or give an opportunity for brides to buy readymade as well. Facilitating customization for women in a studio atmosphere made it super convenient for women to give measurements and give trials! It evolved to be a one-stop-shop for embroideries, designing as well as bespoke tailoring!
Starting with multiple solo exhibitions in Bangalore and Hyderabad, Jus Blouses in no time became an intrinsic part of women's wardrobe in India and the US, a must-visit place for blouse lovers.

The idea of following her passion and launching her label took a beautiful shape in 2000 when her brand Varsha Mahendra sold across Bangalore and Hyderabad through exhibitions and multi-designer stores like Ogaan in Delhi, Ogaan and Collage in Chennai, and Oorja in Hyderabad.

While conducting exhibitions and doing prestigious projects with weavers, APHDC, and CCIE, she got an opportunity to refresh her management skills with ISB through Goldman Sachs 10000 women program. That's when the idea of launching an exclusive brand for blouses came to her mind and that idea turned into a reality. Jus Blouses was launched in 2009. It revolutionized how women shopped for blouses and there was an ecstasy among customers and the brand became really successful.

In 2014, Jus Blouses launched 2 new stores in Hyderabad. The flagship store in Banjara Hills and Khairatabad. In that year Jus Blouses was launched internationally, in Dallas Irving, USA.

There are clients who have been with her for years together and vouch for the brand's quality and her brand has grown with tremendous word-of-mouth publicity before the onset of social media. In 2018, Jus Blouses created its online presence with the launch of the Varsha Mahendra online store.

Since the launch, the brand has serviced 25000 brides and almost a lakh of customers. Like most of the brands, Jus Blouses also faced challenging circumstances in the COVID pandemic, but they’re confident enough to grow wider than ever in the upcoming years to follow.The brand has a strong team of artisans/weavers from across India and the Embroidery and the Experienced tailoring team have grown with the brand ..
